This is one of three FREE one day regional conferences that the LGA group is organising, in association with regional LGAs.  

 

The aim of the event will be to emphasise the key role that councils are playing in the frontline of the public sector response to the recession; share ideas about the approaches to tackling the downturn that have worked so far; and to plan for the action that will need to be taken to prepare for a future recovery. 

 

The event will focus on the local impacts of the recession and inform the Group's programme of work to support its member councils.
