The former RCE funded development of this project to the tender stage. There is a solid commitment from 8 Local Authorities (with a combined annual capital spend of £245m) with a second wave of 5 LAs who have expressed interest.

Outcomes:

The purpose of this project is to establish regional frameworks covering construction works and consultancy. Anticipated efficiencies, based on a similar project in the South East and verified by a National Audit Office report, are 10% of spend, which is potentially £40m per annum for the region if all local authorities buy in.
