Background:
• Improved Communication to Staff, Partners and Stakeholders to impact positively on the reputation of Doncaster’s Children’s Services
• Improved performance data through specific data quality and assurance of the social care records system Improved support and governance for the Local Strategic Partnership & Children’s Trust in order to strengthen local partnerships |
Delivery:
• It is recognised from the APA and Commissioned reports that both communications and governance arrangements need urgent redress, this is essential in the communication of the Children’s Service Improvement Plan and therefore a dedicated Communications Manager will be appointed for 6 months to oversee effective internal and external communications
• Accurate performance data is essential to inform the delivery of the plan, therefore Data Quality Assurance of social care records system (Carefirst) will be improved through essential system clean-up and staff training – both improving processes and enhancing skill levels of staff as well as informing service delivery decision making • Local Strategic Partnership & Children’s Trust support & governance arrangements will be improved through an independent report that will initially set out the most effective support and governance arrangements for the partnership. This will then lead to the establishment of new support and governance structures. |
