Background:
 IDeA training for 32 Fire and Rescue Service members of staff to be accredited peer reviewers in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region. Two sessions of two day training courses held on 28–29 April and 28-29 May 2009 with 16 delegates per session leading to a cohort of trained, qualified and accredited fire and rescue service peers who will be used to review the Operational Assessment element of the Audit Commission’s Comprehensive Area Assessment process
Delivery: 
• Fully trained and accredited IDeA Peer Reviewers within the region.
• Improved skills and competencies within each of the regional FRAs to assist with Operational Assessment Self Assessment and improvement planning.
• Learning opportunities for each of the FRAs as the Peer Reviewers carry out the work in other FRAs and use the knowledge gained to assist FRAs in the region to continuously improve.
Outcomes:
• Fully trained and accredited IDeA Peer Reviewers within the region.
