Background:
|
There is a need to address the mentoring and coaching needs of employees, particularly in the areas of equality and diversity and identify, train and support coaches and mentors in all five authorities across all 6 equality and diversity strands (age, disability, faith, gender, race and sexual orientation). Initial priorities are sexual orientation and race.

Delivery:
|
Peer mentors will be recruited across all equality strands in all 5 authorities. Training and support will be delivered for peer mentors and coaches with subsequent peer mentoring and coaching sessions delivered.
|
|
Outcomes:
|
This project will contribute to the equality and diversity and cohesion agendas by increasing the number of mentors and coaches, providing development opportunities for learners and increasing representation of all equality strands in middle and senior managers.
