Background:
|
Craven District Council is facing challenging financial times, other than the effects of the economic downturn. Assistance is needed to support a new Leader in his first year of office through these challenges as he faces the aspirations of his Administration and the advice of his professional officers.

Delivery:

The Council has arranged for the Leader to receive 1-2-1 peer mentoring during 2009/10 from the Improvement and Delivery Agency. There will be four sessions in the year with addition telephone and email support as required.
|

Outcomes:
|
This is aimed at increasing personal capacity, skills and learning. The mentor will agree key learning outcomes with the Leader, complete a learning agreement, undertake a learning needs analysis, formulate an action plan and evaluate progress.
