Summary:
Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food has arrived in Bradford. The centre is located on John Street in the heart of the city providing a facility where community groups and local people can learn cookery skills and nutrition know-how.
The purpose of the project:
In 2008, TV chef Jamie Oliver launched his ‘Ministry of Food’ campaign in a bid to get people with little cooking experience cooking tasty, nutritious, affordable food.
The campaign and accompanying TV series began in Rotherham where the first Ministry of Food centre opened. Following the success in Rotherham, the second Ministry of Food centre has now opened in Bradford.
