May 6, 2009 - The Yorkshire and Humber Lead Members Network

In conjunction with the IDeA we planned and hosted a national induction day for all new Lead Members for Children's Services and have developed an induction template for use by new Lead Members and prepared by DCSs.

• The Yorkshire and Humber Lead Members Network is acknowledged as the most successful network in terms of outcomes and indeed numbers of Lead Members participating.
• The project has promoted the value and importance of the Lead Member role.
• The project has strengthened the collective voice of Lead Members in the region.
• The project has been able to facilitate considerable learning for Lead Members     which in turn has supported them in their role.
• The project has identified and met a wide range of the learning needs.
