Access to Services

May 6, 2009 - York and North Yorkshire District and County Councils Business Transformation programme.

The York and North Yorkshire District and County Councils have already embarked together on a Business Transformation programme. The general public found the two-tier approach to service delivery very confusing and the work to date has addressed this.

As a result of working together, an ‘Access to Services’ roadmap has now been produced - underpinned by a full programme of support. The City of York Council recognises the successes achieved and is soon to join the partnership. The Police are also involved through the joint Access Centres.

Future plans contain a review of integrated call-centres, including the benefits of remote working, and the opportunity to provide even more services online.
